On February 7, 2004, Shelia married
Glenn T. Young, Pastor of Cedar Valley Christian Center, where
she is the First Lady and co-pastor to her husband. Shelia
always wanted children. So God, in His time and in His divine
way, blessed her with two stepdaughters, Danita Harris and
Camille Penny; and with two daughters-in-law, Shawanna Young and
Teresa Young. He also blessed her with two stepsons, Glenn
Young, Jr. and Jon Young; and with two sons-in-law, Victor Penny

was blessed with 10 grandchildren; as well as, a host of members
and members’ children that she claims as her own.

In 1964, after graduating from A.M.
Story High School, Glenn Young with several of his classmates
enlisted in the U. S. Army. During his time in the army, he served
two years in Germany.
Glenn was greatly impressed when he actually found himself in the city of Nuremburg, Germany where the great Nuremburg trials were held for crimes committed by the German soldiers during WW II. After being discharged from the Army in 1964, Glenn Young joined the work force in Dallas, TX, first at Texas Instruments and finally 5 years with the U S Postal Service. But, on September 30, 1971, Glenn made the most important decision in his life, he became a born again Christian! And in 1979, Cedar Valley Christian Center Church and Ministries was founded.
The future plans for Glenn include expanding his television ministry, currently seen every Monday morning at 6:30 am on channel 47, on The Promise land Network. Plans are in the works for opening two additional child care centers, as well as, building a 5,000 seat church auditorium. His community relations department of the church has plans to continue to partner with the Lancaster Outreach Center by offering more donations and educational classes for disadvantage Lancaster residents. Glenn along with wife Shelia enjoys spending time with their Children and Grandchildren as they continue to reach out and serve in the ministry.
